It was a pleasure to welcome our first residents to Oxford Meadows last week as keys to their ‘forever home’ in Gomersal were handed over.
Nathan and Vanessa Anders were thrilled to move into their luxurious 4-bedroom detached Goring property, together with their two children Isabelle and Thomas.
Having lived in Gomersal previously, they wanted to stay in the area but move closer to secondary school as their children approach the next stage of their education. “When we saw that Riva Homes was building in the area, we made an early-bird reservation on our favourite plot – and we’re delighted we did!” beams Mr Anders.
Their last home being a semi-detached townhouse with a middle-floor living room, they rarely used the garden. Now they have upsized, the large outdoor space is one of their favourite features and they’re already enjoying it, sliding open the bi-folding doors and relaxing with alfresco dining each evening. “We even have feathery neighbours already as Riva Homes installed a nesting box in the sycamore trees,” explains Nathan, “and it’s already inhabited with starlings, which are wonderful to watch.”
The extra internal space and the benefit of a detached garage is also a huge plus for the family, especially now Nathan works from home.
“Our favourite room in the house is the kitchen,” says Vanessa. “In fact, it’s much more than just a kitchen as it’s a dining room and family room too, with bi-folding doors out to the garden. We all love it.”
The Anders family had been actively looking for a newbuild home to avoid any cumbersome DIY and take advantage of a brand new, family home that was ready to move straight into.
“The buying experience has been fantastic from start to finish with Riva Homes,” Nathan says. “They’re a small team but it meant we had direct access to the decision-makers and experts – they genuinely know their stuff and went the extra mile to accommodate our requests for slight amendments and modifications.”
The family were also extremely impressed with the service they received on handover day too, when they gratefully received flowers, chocolates, and balloons, and the happy occasion was celebrated with the beer and wine that the Riva Homes team had put in their fridge.
“We genuinely had a really, really good experience and we’re happy to tell others about it – we’d absolutely recommend Riva Homes to friends and family,” states Nathan.
If you'd like to share in the pride of the Anders family and join this delighted new community in Gomersal, keep an eye on the Oxford Meadows page as the last two homes are due to be released this summer.
