Q1) How was the sales and pre move in experience, were Riva easy to contact and deal with? Were your queries answered and dealt with?

Riva were very easy to deal with.

Straight away we were told which houses were still available and who we needed to contact. At the Showhome, the sales lady was welcoming and friendly. There was no ‘hard sell’ and we were offered plenty of time to look round  and invited to come back and ask any questions we had.


Q2) If you had any issues, were they resolved by Riva homes to your satisfaction?


 I don’t think we really had any issues. We had a meeting prior to moving in to finalise our choices of interior finishes, such as flooring etc and kitchen. 


Q3) Are you happy with the build quality of your home?

The build quality is very good, in fact not just the quality of finish, but also the quality of the materials used - Marley roof tiles, Marshalls stone, Villeroy and Boch ceramics in the bathrooms. The inner doors are superb, with their construction of light oak, aluminium door handles and use of glass in the lounge and kitchen doors. It was one of the things that encouraged us to buy the house, funny though that may sound! The whole house has a lovely modern feel throughout. All stonework is straight and true (unlike other builders we have seen) and doors fit properly etc. Unlike rival builders, Riva employ the same tradesmen to build all homes on an estate. Others use their best staff to build the showhouse only.


Q4) What is your favourite room and why?

Tricky one, as we love the whole house! The kitchen/dining room is great with its floating island breakfast bar, decent amount of space and French doors and windows which allow lots of light to flood in. The lounge strikes a lovely balance between plenty of space and yet remaining cosy. The little extra vertical side window allows more light in again and is a lovely distinctive feature.

The master bedroom with its en-suite is a highlight. I love the powerful shower in the en-suite and again there is a good amount of space.


Q5) Is your home warm - how does is compare to other homes you have owned regarding energy bills?

The home is lovely and warm. A little early to call re energy bills, but I fully expect them to be less than we have paid previously. Insulation in modern homes is constantly improving and it is clear this house is bang up to date with the latest features, such as the air recirculating function etc.


Q6) Would you recommend Riva to a Friend?

Absolutely. In fact I already have!


Q7) Have your after sales items been dealt with?

Still one or two left to sort, but most have been resolved reasonably quickly. Patrick has been great in this regard. It’s clear that all at Riva are really keen that buyers are happy with their new home.
